I grew up in Singapore, but I’ve spent more than half my life in the UK. When I return for visits now, I’m a tourist. The tourist lens is a really valuable one to cultivate – things are new, and you instinctively look at them from unusual angles, with eyes that aren’t clouded with familiarity and routine.
